There are generators adjoined to houseboats providing for air conditioning. A crew including a cook accompanies guests. Menu is usually indigenous variety with local fish included. But in the end taste of guests prevail. Although Houseboats are motorized they are run in a meandering pace letting guests fully relish the surrounding landscape.

Spending a night in houseboat docked in backwaters is a memorable affair. You can ask to switch off electric lamps to spend time in the light of lanterns alone to get a local feel. You can glimpse houses and boats afar as static and mobile spots of illumination respectively. If you are in the good books of fortune you can witness fireflies adorning tree branches, blinking eternally. A marvelous sight indeed!
